Many of us have a tendency to jump to conclusions too early. We may be paying close attention to what is being said and we feel as if we have a good handle on the entire situation. The fact of the matter is, however, until you have heard the entire story to the conclusion, you are likely to put your foot in your mouth if you answer too quickly. That fact becomes painfully obvious in this clip from Family Feud.
It is the typical scene from the game show, where two contestants are standing in front of the stage and are preparing to answer a question as quickly as they can. The first person to hit the buzzer gets the opportunity to answer first, so when Steve is only halfway through with his question, a girl jumped the gun, hits the buzzer and fires off an answer that might seem logical.
The problem is, when the rest of the question is read, it absolutely makes no sense at all! In fact, it is perhaps one of the worst answers that could possibly be given when you consider the entire question. A tip for anyone who might be on Family Feud: this is not the way to win.
